  1. Notes on the Amiga version of Zoo. (1.42A)
  2.  
  3.     AmigaZoo 1.42A is a minor revision of 1.42, the only functional change is 
  4. a check for the version of the operating system version before making calls
  5. to routines not supported before 1.2.  This means that AmigaZoo 1.42A should
  6. work just fine under 1.1, it just will not set the file dates.
  7.  
  8.     AmigaZoo 1.42 supports file/path names of up to 255 characters in length.
  9.  
  10.     The wildcards have been revised to no longer treat the "." as a special 
  11. character;  "zoo a test *" will now add all files in the current directory
  12. to the archive.

  14.      Path support is limited as file names still have to be unique, but this 
  15. will be fixed in the next version.

  17.     I would like to thank John Hiday for helping to beta test AmigaZoo. I would 
  18. also like to thank Rahul Dhesi, first for writing zoo and second for being
  19. so reponsive to making changes in zoo to make the Amiga version easier to
  20. create.

  22.     With this release, AmigaZoo is a user supported program.  Zoo was written 
  23. by Rahul Dhesi and modified to run on the Amiga by J. Brian Waters.  With 
  24. the consent of the author, I am requesting a $10 contribution from satisfied 
  25. users.  This contribution is purely voluntary and you need not feel any guilt 
  26. if you do not contribute.  In any case you are encouraged to use and 
  27. distribute this program in accordance with the conditions below.

  29.      AmigaZoo is a derivative work of a program copyrighted by Rahul Dhesi and
  30. as such is subject to the following limitations on distribution.
  31.  
  32.   Distribution of the executable AmigaZoo is permitted subject to the following 
  33. conditions.  Any violation of these conditions may lead to damages in favor 
  34. of the copyright owner.
  35.  
  36.   AmigaZoo may be duplicated and distributed, or made available for downloading 
  37. via telecommunications, for no fee.  However, a reasonable shipping/hand-
  38. ling/communications/connect-time charge is permissible.  Organizations 
  39. charging more than a total of $4.00 postpaid for the disk(s) containing 
  40. AmigaZoo, or charging more than a total of $7.00 per hour for downloading 
  41. at 1200 bps, are prohibited from distributing AmigaZoo.  It is prohibited 
  42. to distribute AmigaZoo as part of any package over which anybody other than 
  43. Rahul Dhesi claims a licensing right, right of distribution, or copyright or 
  44. compilation copyright of any kind.  It is prohibited to distribute AmigaZoo 
  45. with any copyright notices removed.

  47.    Notwithstanding the above terms, Fred Fish is given permission to distribute 
  48. AmigaZoo in his Amiga Freely Redistributable Software Library.
